Welcome to Tripping the Quantum Fantastic: a collection of treasures from the wonderful worlds of science, mathematics, and technology — with a little bit of music and philosophy thrown in, just for good measure. My name is Jane, and I delight in creating constructionally idiosyncratic idioms parodying other, equally constructionally idiosyncratic idioms. I’m a raging academic, thrilled to the gills by patterns and particles and pigeons (yes, pigeons) and sometimes I get caught doing science in hot pink stilettos. I call it: Sexy Science.

If you think magnetic ferrofluids are beautiful and find impressive facial hair to be, well, impressive — or if you, too, have at least entertained the idea of naming your cat Erwin — you’ve come to the right place.

Follow TTQF on Twitter, and feel free to send along any goodies you find lurking in the far corners of the internet.

Enjoy, and let your geek flag fly.
